Our Final Week

In the last week before our presentation, tensions were a little bit higher. With everyone busy doing projects and assignments for multiple other classes, our opportunities to meet up in real life were few and far between. We did manage to meet up on Second Life, however, on the 6th of December just before class.

The Green Team's final Second Life meeting!

We chatted about what we found in our texts and what areas of work we'd each like to concentrate on for the final presentation. I chose to look at transport and vehicles, while the others took other aspects such as medicine, music, banking, cooking and bar-tending. Once we had all agreed on the aspects of work we were concentrating on and the texts related to them, I think we had put our minds a bit more at ease and felt slightly more prepared for the presentation than we had before.

It was really useful having John talk about the different methods we could use in order to present the following week as that was something that we were struggling to agree on as a group. We had initially wanted to film a video in real life but getting everyone together in the one spot for long enough to film a whole video was proving to be an issue. We thought that it would be easier with our clashing schedules to make a google slides account and make the presentation that way, adding to our own slides whenever we had the chance. We weren't sure how to actually bring a powerpoint presentation into Second Life though, so having John clear that up and give Louis some money that allowed us to bring in our presentation was very useful.

We stayed in contact again on Facebook messenger throughout the final week and then finally, on the day of the presentation we met up in real life earlier in the day just to make sure everyone knew what they were saying and when they were saying it. Now all that's left is to finally present!

Until next time!
